Cognac (KON-yak, alsoKOHN-, KAWN-,[2][3][4]French:[kɔɲak]ⓘ) is a variety of brandy called after the commune of Cognac, Writer. It is produced in the nearby wine-growing region in the departments take in Charente and Charente-Maritime.
